Prep Volleyball.com named the Stanford volleyball team third in the country in their annual ranking of the Top 30 recruiting classes.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Williams, the 2009 California Gatorade Player of the Year, will bring an impressive list of accomplishments with her when she hits the USC campus next year.  Rachel is a 2008 and 2009 California Interscholastic State Champion who was named to the AVCA High School All-American first team.  Volleyball Magazine and Max Preps both named her National High School Player of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Another out-of-beaten cardinal Lydia Bai is the daughter of 1984 Chinese Olympic gold medalist as a player and 2008 Olympic silver medalist as coach, Jenny Langpeng.  With such an impressive pedigree, Lydia is expected to be one of the most versatile players to grace a Cardinal jersey next year.  She attended Arnold Beckman High School for four years where she was her team captain, was named to the All-Pacific League first team as a freshman and was the Pacific League Player of the Year in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Lydia&#8217;s international experience includes being a member of the United States Youth National Team.<\/p>\n<p>Carly Wobat is a 6&#8217;2&#8243; center fielder who attends Stanford with her 6&#8217;1&#8243; twin sister, outside hitter Sam Wobat.  The sisters are the 2009 CIF South Division Champions who helped lead the Dos Pueblos High School team to two Channel League titles.  Carly&#8217;s accomplishments include:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Obtaining the title of best player in the Qanat League<\/p>\n<p>Finalist for the California Gatorade Player of the Year Award<\/p>\n<p>He was a 2009 PrepVolleyball All-American<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; In 2009, American Volleyball Magazine<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; #4 on PrepVolleyball&#8217;s list of aces<\/p>\n<p>Sam Wopat&#8217;s accomplishments are similar to those of her sister.  The four-year-old volleyball player was twice named to the All-Channel League first team as well as a CIF Southern Section First Team member.  Volleyball Magazine selected her to their All-American Second Team and was also named a PrepVolleyball High School All-American.<\/p>\n<p>A top high school defensive specialist, Marie Luck is a district champion and regional finalist who attended Stratford High School in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas All-Star earned All-State honors last year and was named Most Valuable Player of District 18-5A.
